Curragh Downs is a large-lot enclave in southeastern Fair Oaks, just over a hundred homes built between the mid-1960s and 2000 on some of the most generous parcels in the community. An active homeowners association keeps a consistent standard across the winding streets, and the mature landscaping has had decades to fill in. The setting near Sunrise Boulevard puts the American River Parkway within easy reach while keeping through-traffic off the interior lanes. The tradeoff is the usual one for an established custom-lot pocket: house styles span more than three decades of building, so you will find dated originals alongside heavily remodeled properties on similar-sized lots. The draw is space and stewardship, big lots held to a common standard with the river corridor close by.
