Wildhawk Estates is the newer, larger-home phase of the golf community, built mostly in the early 2000s on the east side of the WildHawk course. The stock runs bigger than the older Wildhawk blocks, two-story stucco homes on generous tract lots, and because it went up in one stretch the streetscape is consistent and easy on the eye. The golf course and the network of pocket parks are the draw, and the newer construction means very little here needs fixing. It is still a drive to the freeway and to any real retail node, with the closest everyday shopping out on Bradshaw and Elk Grove-Florin. The downside is the usual one for the far southeast county: you trade walkability and quick freeway access for quiet and newness, and the open, treeless newer streets bake in July. As one of the most uniformly kept addresses in Vineyard, though, Wildhawk Estates is the pocket people name when they want space and polish without leaving the golf community.
