Tucked among Thornwood Terrace, Evergreen Estates, and the larger Country Club Estates Addition, Gary Gardens is a small residential tract in the northern reach of Arden-Arcade. It is interior ground, built out with modest midcentury homes on regular lots and no commercial frontage of its own. Life here runs out to the Marconi and Watt corridors for shopping and the drive to the freeway, and there is no marquee park or trail within the pocket itself. Its appeal is the plainer one of a low-traffic block set back from the arterials, in a central part of the community.
