It stands apart from the surrounding single-family tracts as one of the community's denser, more managed enclaves. The townhouse format keeps upkeep uniform and pricing lower than the detached homes nearby, and the central position puts the boulevards and the estate neighborhoods within a short drive. The tradeoffs are the usual ones for attached housing: less private outdoor space, shared walls, and reliance on the arterials for everything beyond the complex itself. For a lower-cost way into a central, otherwise pricey part of Arden-Arcade, the arrangement can make sense, as long as the townhouse format suits.
